Gardener needed for the Trial, Four Seasons, and Perennial Gardens located within the Fort Worth Botanic Garden.

The ideal candidate will have an excellent knowledge of landscape plants including trees, shrubs, turf grass, perennials, annuals and bulbs and their culture and maintenance requirements.  Candidates should have a working knowledge of irrigation systems and be able to perform some minor maintenance and repairs. Weekend, holiday and special event work required on a rotation with other grounds staff.   Experience with the maintenance of ponds, fountains and pools preferred.

Hours: Monday through Friday, 7:30 am- 4 pm with some weekends and holidays as needed.


  • Candidate should have a minimum of two years of professional level gardening or grounds maintenance.
  • Possess or have the ability to obtain a non-commercial TDA pesticide license within 6 months of employment.
  • Possess a valid Texas driver’s license.
  • High school or GED with specialized training in horticulture. An associate’s degree or bachelor’s degree in horticulture is preferred.
