Exhibit Development Manager

Desert Botanical Garden

This full-time position will assist the Director of Planning and Exhibits in managing the exhibit development process for projects outlined in the Garden’s 5-year strategic plan. 

As project manager, he or she will work with interdepartmental exhibit teams and outside consultants to: organize exhibit content and design objectives; coordinate the collection and use of images and messages to ensure appropriateness and accuracy of exhibit concepts and content; ensure that planned exhibits are accessible, engaging, and relevant to visitors; and oversee and manage project meetings, budgets, and schedules. 

Position requirements include a Bachelor level degree in museum studies, design, or a related field; 5 years of experience in project management and/or exhibit development; strong leadership skills, including excellent problem analysis and judgment, organizational ability, and written and oral communication skills; high levels of personal motivation and creativity; familiarity with construction projects; and computer competency in graphic programs.
