Lauritzen Gardens, Omaha’s Botanical Center, is a young and growing public garden located on a 100-acre site overlooking the Missouri River Valley. Internships at Lauritzen Gardens offer exciting opportunities for students to be closely involved with the challenges and rewards of working in a young public garden with a fast-paced atmosphere. Students may receive academic credit through their institutions.

Duration: 3 to 4 months, starting in May
Compensation: $8.00 per hour
Education interns will assist with education programming at the garden including school tours, youth enrichment programs, day camps, adult tours, festivals, special events and garden interpretation. Interns must possess enthusiasm, flexibility, love of the outdoors and the capacity to work with a wide range of people.
