Lauritzen Gardens, Omaha’s Botanical Center, is a young and growing public garden located on a 100-acre site overlooking the Missouri River Valley. Internships at Lauritzen Gardens offer exciting opportunities for students to be closely involved with the challenges and rewards of working in a young public garden with a fast-paced atmosphere. Students may receive academic credit through their institutions.

Duration: 3 to 4 months, starting in May
Compensation: $8.00 per hour
The horticulture intern will work directly with the garden’s horticulture staff to gain practical work experience in all aspects of horticultural maintenance. Interns will spend time working in several different outdoor gardens, indoor floral display, greenhouse production, plant records, and turf.
