Job Title: Volunteer Intake Coordinator
Position Type: Part-time
Compensation: $15.00 per hour
Job Summary: Under general supervision this position is responsible for effectively and efficiently involve volunteers in meaningful volunteer positions, including, but not limited to orientation, training, recognition and communications needed to motivate, thank, and make volunteers feel valued contributors to Denver Botanic Gardens.
Qualifications: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum of one year of volunteer management experience including recruitment and screening of volunteers, project management, record development and maintenance. Excellent computer (must have knowledge of IBM compatible computers and software), written and oral communication skills, plus experience in desktop publishing and understanding of web pages. . Experience using volunteer management software such as Volgistics preferred. Must be flexible and able to handle multiple and changing priorities. Must be able to maintain confidentiality of information. Excellent proofreading and data base management skills required. Must be able to work weekends occasionally and be a self-motivated team player with the ability to meet deadlines, remain flexible and adjust to changing priorities
