The Heritage Museum and Gardens Horticulture Internships 2013
Heritage Museum and Gardens in historic Sandwich, MA on Cape Cod is offering summer internships. This is a great opportunity to gain great botanical garden work experience. Heritage is the former home of rhododendron hybridizer Charles Dexter and many of his spectacular collection are now mature and truly incredible.
These internships are for the period May through late August and we are willing to work with your schedule. Students will work directly for and with the Director of Horticulture in the Garden doing various duties as required to maintain a public Garden. Interns are scheduled to work 40 hrs a week at an hourly rate of $10. Students will participate in several field trips to gardens in the Northeast. A small housing allowance is also granted for students not from the Cape Cod area.
Responsibilities: Weeding, Mulching, Fertilizing, Pruning, Propagation, Volunteer management, Plant Documentation and other duties as assigned and necessary for the operation of a public garden.

Eligibility: Students should be working toward a degree in Horticulture and preference will be given to 3rd and 4th year students.
