Responsible for managing the day-to-day activities of the core operational areas of data and gift entry, financial reporting and reconciliation, database maintenance and management, and related customer service activities. The Manager of Development Operations plays an integral role in the creation and execution of procedures to improve processing and reporting functions in support of department goals.
Previous Training and Experience: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent with two years previous development/advancement services experience is required. Previous supervisory experience desired. Specific experience with a fundraising database such as Raisers Edge is helpful. Familiarity with Crystal Reports is a plus. Knowledge of basic accounting principles preferred. In addition, the ideal candidate must be skilled in the use of MS Office software including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Access.
Physical/Mental Requirements: Qualified candidates will have excellent interpersonal and organizational skills to function successfully in a professional team structure. Candidates should also have the ability to build positive relationships with staff, co-workers, and volunteers. This position requires the ability to be responsive and flexible in a fast paced department. The ideal candidate must be able to work independently, collaboratively, and handle multiple projects and deadlines. High degree of confidentiality required. Occasional evening and weekend work required.
